What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is defined for the purposes of this guidance as:
- protecting children from maltreatment;
- preventing impairment of children’s health or development;
- ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care; and
- taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.
Children includes everyone under the age of 18.
School Security
College Green School and Services has a controlled entry system, we ask that Parents and Visitors to the school buildings work with us to ensure the safety of our children. Visitors must always sign in at the main school office before entering the school building and wear their visitors badge at all times. Parents who are dropping or collecting children at times outside of normal drop off/collection times must go to the school office. The school buildings are covered by external CCTV Cameras, please see our Policy documents for our CCTV policy.
